Katie Wheeler, Executive Vice President
Ms. Catherine "Katie" Wheeler offers an extensive history in meeting and event planning to the Wheeler Company (Wheeler Co.) having worked within many leading hotel properties throughout the western United States.
Currently, Ms. Wheeler oversees all Wheeler Co. event management clients, serving a distinguished clientele of nonprofit members, elected officials and major donors. She oversees the production and management of several conventions and seminars each year, of which the largest includes oversight of a staff of 60 volunteers and professionals who serve up to 1,200 convention attendees.
Prior to joining the Wheeler Co. family, Ms. Wheeler served as the National Sales Manager for Noble House Hotels and Resorts, serving as in-house staff to the boutique hospitality chain’s largest property. Ms. Wheeler coordinated the needs, from initial proposal and contracting to final billing, of high-profile corporate and nonprofit clients, seeking to provide exceptional service and detailed event planning. Her service was noted, oftentimes earning Ms. Wheeler distinction of high-volume sales and service within her team.
Ms. Wheeler has also worked for a myriad of other hospitality outlets throughout her career, including Interstate Hotels & Resorts and Destination Hotels & Resorts. Each corporation afforded the opportunity for Ms. Wheeler to work with a variety of clients expanding her event portfolio within specialized and unique venues.
Ms. Wheeler holds a Bachelor of Science degree (BS) in Business Administration and a Bachelor of Arts degree (BA) in French, both awarded from the University of San Diego.
In her spare time, Ms. Wheeler enjoys spending time with her husband and two young children, travel, food and wine, and community affairs.
